About Me.
As a first-generation Indian American woman from Kansas, a career in the political field initially felt like an impossible goal. I first became interested in the politics after organizing my high school’s #NeverAgain walkout in 2018 in response to the mass shooting at Majority Stoneman Douglas High School. I have since manifested my passion for social issues and public policy through campaign organizing and digital and press communications with Kansas High School Democrats, the Kansas Democratic Party, Democratic offices in the U.S. House of Representatives, and progressive public relations organizations.
With my multi-faceted political and professional experience and passion for digital communication, I am a motivated creative communicator who seeks to create change in any space I enter. Using my drive for storytelling, I have cultivated strong graphic and web design experience and video editing and writing skills.

As a congressional intern with the Office of Representative Sharice L. Davids and press intern for the Office of Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, I have gained a strong understanding of the capacity of the legislative branch of government. I have supported the communications team in Congresswoman Kamlager-Dove’s office by spearheading a redesign of her digital branding, attending digital staffer training sessions, compiling daily press clips, drafting written press and social copy, and designing materials for press campaigns such as #BringEyvinHome and the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop.
As digital director for Prairie Roots Kansas, alumni marketing & public relations coordinator for Kesem at GW, and communications intern with New Heights, I have experience in brand management and content curation. As a member of the Prairie Roots team, I learned the importance of message discipline through creating a monthly social media calendar, designing and captioning daily social media posts and drafting a weekly newsletter. I also handled every part of our statewide media strategy, including maintaining a list of press contacts, distributing pitch letters, and drafting op-eds.

I have also spent the better part of the last year gaining technical experience in coding languages such as Python, HTML, CSS, and RStudio, and practical experience in softwares such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (including After Effects), and Adobe Express.
Through my role with WRGW, I also have experience in sound design, audio engineering, and information technology adn troubleshooting.

My dedication to public service has been especially influenced by my experiences working with Kesem at GW and WRGW District Radio. The strengths I brought to these organizations include organizational skills, adaptability, and a diligent work ethic. I am inspired by the opportunity to engage with various people and viewpoints through digital communication and technical operations.

I decided to attend college in D.C. with the hope that I could use this opportunity to be part of a larger impact and now seek to work in digital politics after I complete my undergraduate degree. I am a driven digital producer who is passionate about using equity, empathy, and storytelling to diversify our digital landscape and explore outreach through multimedia, ultimately creating the change in the world I hope to see.
